2010 Spring Sports are here!

Spring has finally come and we are so excited because Jaxson is old enough to play tball this year. We tried soccer in the fall and he didn't love it so he quit playing toward the end of the season. We were already paid up through spring so I asked him if he wanted to play again and he said yes.
He has had two games and has loved it so far so we will see how it goes!

Opening Day for baseball was a lot of fun. We started with a soccer game in the morning and then straight to tball. Jerry decided to coach this year and asked my brother Chris to help him. I think they have really enjoyed it so far.

It is so fun to watch the kids play at this age. They don't know much about what's going on but they love being apart of it.

Jaxson loved playing but when it was time to bat for the third time, most of the kids were ready to be done. Jaxson was so excited because all the family was there to watch that he just wanted to go play! He was done too!

Jer was a little nervous going into the first practice and game because we didn't really know what to expect. It went well though and he has done a great job. I think he enjoys it a lot more than he thought he would.

After all the games of the day, they had a parade for all the teams. The kids loved it. They got our roster all wrong, but oh well, it was still fun!

After the parade, the teams went onto the field and waited for the first pitch to be thrown. Coach Chris couldn't make it, so we had Coach Corey help.

It was definitely a long day, but SO much fun! I even had to fit a baby shower in the middle of it all, but it turned out to be a fantastic day! I know our family is going to love being apart of the sports world!

Easter Morning

Jerrys brother, Chad and his daughter, Grace spent Easter with us this year and it was a lot of fun! The easter bunny hid the kids baskets and left them notes where they could find them. They thought it was so much fun. Saige's note said to look in the place where we cook chicken nuggets...

She loves to tell people that he hid it in the 'microwabe'

She better watch out or Bozley might eat her candy!

The bunny left a note for Jaxson that said to look where mommy washes clothes...

The kids had so much fun finding easter eggs. We found them all once and then the kids kept asking me to hide them so they could find them.

We hid the eggs quite a few times and by the time we were done they had been dropped a number of times so they had cracked shells and the dogs had their fair share of lickin them

I was kidding around and asked Jerry if he wanted me to make deviled eggs out of them and he looked at me like 'Are you kidding me?'

Oh... and of course... Saigie in her dress up!

Thanks Easter Bunny! We had tons of fun at all the grandmas and grandpas we visited and got way too many goodies!

Coloring Easter Eggs

Grandma Pam and Grandma Nora came over to help tackle the coloring of the easter eggs. We had tons of fun and only had a few accidents. Jaxson knocked over the blue dye and I thought I had it cleaned up until I realized it was leaking throught the crack in the table all over the floor!!! We only bought the basic egg kits this year but I think next year it would be fun to try the tie dye kit or the metallic ones. It was still a lot of fun though and the kids had a ball, that's all that matters!

There's always time for dress up- even in the middle of coloring easter eggs!

2nd Annual 'Remembrance' Cookout

Our family has started an annual get together the last weekend in March where we roast hot dogs, make smores and share some good family fun and memories. It's been two years in a row, hopefully we stick with it.

Disney on Ice

I decided to take the kids to Disney on Ice at the last minute. Jerry had to work so I talked my mom into going with me and we had a good time. The show was really good except I thought they could have spent more time with Lightning Mcqueen and his crew. I had Jaxson so pumped about seeing them and then they were only out for like 5-7 minutes. Aside from paying $20 for cold fries and drinks that got spilled as well as the expensive souvenirs, we had a great time! If you ask Saige who we saw at the show she says..."Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Donald, Tinkerbell and Hot Dog" She calls Goofy, Hot Dog! Not sure where she came up with it but I laugh every time I hear it!

I snapped this next picture right as Mickey and Minnie came out and he thought it was so awesome! His smile could not have been any bigger!

Love You Forever!!

One month ago today on February 2nd, my sweet loving grandma passed away. I miss her more than words can say, but knowing that she was reunited with her sweetheart makes it bittersweet. I have so so many wonderful memories with her. She was so good to me as a child and taught me so many things. I spent almost every summer with my grandparents growing up and will cherish those memories forever. Grandma was the perfect example of a wife and mother and I hope to follow in her footsteps. Love you Grams. XOXO

Grandma and Saigie..

I can't wait to share so many great stories with my children about what an extraordinary woman their great grandma was.
Marilyn Annette Smith Kelley 1938~2010. Marilyn Annette Smith Kelley passed away February 2, 2010 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born July 7, 1938 in Grantsville, Utah to George Edward and Amy Lorena Smith. She married Samuel James Kelley on June 24, 1955. Together they had four children, Paul Kelley, Terri (Kent) Liddiard, Dawn (Mark) Hainsworth, and Samra (Keary) Workman. They were sealed together in the Salt Lake City Temple on December 30, 2006. Annette had many wonderful talents. She was a wonderful cook, loved to crochet afghans and enjoyed spending time painting ceramics and doing crafts. She and Sam spent many wonderful summers camping, enjoyed the winters they spent in Quartzsite, AZ and the many friends they met. She was kind and loving to everyone and opened her home to many who needed a place to call home. There were many who called her 'Ma'.
